Rasaboat Ghana Limited is a company that produces Solar Home Systems (SHS). These machines are embedded with prepaid meters to function as a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) system, so the beneficiary of the system pays about one-twentieth of the total cost of the system and immediately has access to the SHS. They envision a future where communities off the grid would use their SHS and abandon the use of kerosene lamps and other energy sources that are not environmentally friendly.
