“The Ghana Climate Innovation Centre’s Inclusive Masculinity masterclass spoke directly to my experiences and challenges as a male business owner in the agricultural industry.
The sessions challenged me to question some of the traditional notions of masculinity that exist in the agricultural communities I operate in. They shed light on how these norms negatively impact my organization’s working environment and influence decision-making and workplace dynamics within the farming industry. As a farmer, navigating through societal expectations of masculinity while managing a business adds another layer of complexity to an already challenging industry.
It was obvious to me that the GCIC has tailored its masterclasses specifically for both female and male enterprises to ensure gender parity and address the unique challenges faced by all. These masterclasses delve into gender dynamics within the context of male business leadership, fostering understanding and awareness.
Given the opportunity, I would attend many more of these discussions for the deep insights and support what they have given me”.
