“I have always grappled with the challenge of successfully balancing family life and my domestic waste business.  Neglecting this balance led me down a path where I became rigidly entrenched in one direction, unable to navigate back to a balanced life.

The masterclass was a safe space to raise personal issues without judgement, and the facilitator provided valuable guidance which I believe will positively impact my professional and personal endeavors moving forward.

As someone deeply involved in the domestic waste industry, I’ve encountered unique challenges that stem from the intersection of traditional gender roles and the demands of running a waste management business. In many societies, waste management is still perceived as a male-dominated field, which can create additional pressure for male business owners like me to conform to stereotypical notions of masculinity, often at the expense of family and personal well-being. By addressing these dynamics head-on, I am better equipped to foster a healthier work-life balance and create a more inclusive and supportive workplace culture within the domestic waste industry”.

GCIC tailors’ masterclasses specifically for both female and male enterprises to ensure gender parity.  The GCIC Inclusive Masculinity masterclasses are designed to explore and address gender dynamics, within the context of male business leadership by fostering understanding and awareness of masculinity and its challenges and its impact on workplace dynamics.
