The Ghana Climate Innovation Centre has commenced a series of roadshows dubbed “GCIC Green Business Roadshow” which will take the Centre to all regional capitals in Ghana over the next two months. The GCIC Green Business Roadshow provides a platform for the Centre to engage with a wider range of stakeholders in Ghana’s green economy. The first point of call of the Roadshow is at Sunyani.
A key feature of the roadshows will be the “Climate Innovation Forums” where the GCIC will host an assembly to engage stakeholders and aspiring applicants to the Innovation Centre. During these forums, GCIC will be guiding entrepreneurs involved in climate innovation ventures through the application process to be admitted into the GCIC incubator.

About GCIC:
The Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC) is a pioneering business incubator whose objective is to support entrepreneurs and ventures involved in developing profitable and locally-appropriate solutions to climate change mitigation and adaptation in Ghana. The Centre’s key focus is on businesses operating within the areas of energy efficiency, domestic waste management, solar energy, water supply management and purification, and climate smart agriculture.
The GCIC is part of the World Bank’s Climate Technology Program and its global network of Climate Innovation Centres which include centres in Caribbean, Ethiopia, Kenya, Morocco, South Africa, and Vietnam. Supported by the governments of Denmark and the Netherlands, the centre is managed by a consortium led by the Ashesi University College and includes Ernst & Young, SNV Netherlands Development Organization, and the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa.
