At first, I was a very timid person, not outspoken and shy, but now the classes, courses, and interactions have boosted my confidence level. My ability of thinking about things, analysing things and how to approach the work has changed. Personally I’ve been doing this work for 22 years continuously. If I had gotten all these information earlier, the world would have heard about us. Sometimes we’ve been doing the right things but we didn’t know so we got enlightened by GCIC. The presence of the expert was a blessing to us. With the old method we had to wait for 7 weeks before harvesting but with the new method we’re harvesting within the 4th week. We used to hold the bags for 3 months before disposing and around the 2nd & 3rd months, the yield reduces. The expert taught us to dispose the bags early even after the 4th week and bring in more bags to increase yield and production. It also leads to saving time, space and money. The quality of my product from the 1st -4th yield are always healthy. We now know how many mushrooms we can get from 1 bag. At first, we just harvest everything and put it in the basket but he taught us to segregate the columns when harvesting and write the quantity for each row separately to track the bags which are not producing much yield and decide what can be done . We’re so much grateful to GCIC. Anywhere I get the chance on any media platform, I will say it. GCIC is an eye-opener. some of us will wish the program last not less than 30 years for more people to be educated.
