Green Campus Ghana, founded in 2016 at the University of Ghana by Papa Yaw Agyekum Addo, is a youth-driven initiative from five tertiary institutions aimed at addressing sanitation and climate issues. They develop eco-friendly products and run projects promoting sustainability. Their Green Campus Trash bags facilitate waste management with color-coded bags: green for bottles/glass, white for papers/plastics, and brown for organic waste. To combat poor waste management practices, they conduct annual sanitation education campaigns and outreach programs, encouraging proper waste disposal and improved sanitation habits among Ghanaians.
